What does an SEO campaign involve?

1. Keyword Research

It all starts with research. The purpose of this is to establish a list of target keywords which have good monthly search volume and are highly relevant to your service offering. This detailed analysis of keyword and competitor data will enable us to identify the keyword opportunities that will provide the best ROI and chance of conversion. We will agree on a set of target keywords to focus the campaign around.

2. Technical Onsite

You could have the best content and product in the world. But if your website provides a terrible user experience and isn't search engine friendly, then it'll all be for nothing. This stage involves a comprehensive review of the technical standing of the site and suggestions of improvements. I will cover around 50 different factors, from page speed to schema markup, and outline any actions which need to be taken.

3. On-Page Analysis

As part of the SEO audit, I'll provide recommendations for optimising each individual page on the website that could offer potential opportunity from a search perspective. These recommendations for each key landing page on the site involve writing metadata, tweaking headings, editing copy, and adding alt text to images. This will be done to effectively target the agreed keywords.

4. Content Creation

Publishing regular, high quality content via a blog on your website will help establish your brand as an industry leader and voice of authority. This part of the campaign involves the creation of a comprehensive content strategy and plan, which can be implemented by your in-house team, or by me. I recommend aiming for at least one blog post per week.

5. Link-building

The notoriously tricky part of any SEO campaign. Links to your site from other websites act as a vote of confidence in the eyes of the search engines. The more relevant, high quality links to your website, the higher it is likely to rank. Link-building is essentially digital PR. I'll also review your current backlink profile to ensure any potentially toxic links are addressed.

6. Reporting

Ongoing tracking and monitoring of progress is crucial in terms of guiding the strategy and making tweaks to the campaign for optimum results. I will create a tailored report each month to outline results and progress. With any SEO campaign, you are spending money to make money. It's my job to prove the return on investment.
